About

Princeton Golf Course is an 18-hole, par 71 course nestled along the beautiful Rum River on the border of Mille Lacs and Sherburne Counties. The course is only 45 minutes northwest of Minneapolis, just off Highway 169 in Princeton. The original nine holes were completed in 1955. The course expanded to 18 holes in 1992.

In March, 2016, Princeton Golf Course was acquired by new owners James and Amanda Berglund. James and Amanda are both Princeton natives and graduates of Princeton High School. Their love for Princeton and Princeton Golf Course fuels their determination to restore the course to its former level of excellence in both the condition of the golf course and the quality of the food available at the PGC Bar & Grill.

Refurbishment of the course began immediately. The grounds crew set about the task of restoring the fairways, roughs, and bunkers. They trimmed trees and cut back overgrown areas around water hazards. They also put a strong effort into beautifying the area around the clubhouse and the teeing grounds. Their work continues on the greens with the long goal of making them, again, “the best greens in central Minnesota.”
